East Pennard is a village & civil parish with a population of over 300 people, situated 4 miles west of Castle Cary & 5 miles south of Shepton Mallet in Somerset, England.  

The village name originates from the Celtic language: penn-ardd meaning high hill & indeed the village straddles the Pennard ridge, offering spectacular views of the Glastonbury Tor, the Mendips & the Somerset Levels.
